Are you ready to make a difference in a vibrant and culturally rich community? Tower Hamlets Business Support Hub has several exciting vacancies that could be the perfect fit for you:

  • 1 x Business Support Officer (Part-Time, 21 hours, Permanent – hybrid working 50%): Support the Adults Social Care Front Door Service in the Initial Assessment and Safeguarding & DoLs Team.
  • 2 x Business Support Officer (Part-Time, 17.5 hours, Permanent – fully office based): Join the ELFT Service in the Bow & Poplar and Bethnal Green Neighbourhood Mental Health Teams.
  • 1 x Business Support Officer (Full-Time, 12-Month FTC – majority office based): Provide maternity cover in the Children Social Care Service within the Safeguarding Quality Assurance area.
  • 1 x Business Support Officer (Full-Time, 6-Month FTC/Secondment – majority office based): Provide statutory cover in the Youth Justice Service.

As a member of our centralised service model, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering excellent support services across various council areas. We're looking for adaptable, flexible, and ICT-literate individuals who can help us seek digital solutions and become a more efficient, agile workforce.

In our Business Support Hub, we value a people-centred approach. You'll need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both orally and in writing. Being proactive and managing expectations internally and with stakeholders is key.

We're seeking candidates with previous public sector experience and strong, transferable skills in Business Support/Administration. If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Proficiency in all ICT Microsoft packages and associated systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work diligently.
  • Adaptability to work across different teams when required.
  • Solution-focused mindset with the ability to respectfully challenge inefficient ways of working.
  • Excellent oral, written, and visual communication skills to engage a range of stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to work under pressure and meet competing deadlines.
