We are looking for someone to join the Tower Hamlets Baby Feeding and Wellbeing Service to cover a fixed term position until 31st January 2026We are a team of enthusiastic and committed individuals who support local pregnant women (1) and new mothers (2) with feeding their babies in hospital, at home and in the community.

We are looking to fill 2 full-time equivalent posts with 3 people: 1 full-time role and 2 part-time roles.

London Borough of Tower Hamlets offers an exciting opportunity for a Baby Feeding Specialist to deliver the borough-wide infant feeding programme.

The service is commissioned by Tower Hamlets Public Health and based in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. We work in partnership with Barts Health Trust at the Royal London Hospital, an accredited Baby Friendly Initiative hospital. We also work in the community, providing antenatal breastfeeding information; feeding support in local Children and Family Centres as well as at home. We work closely with Community Midwives, Health visitors and other health professionals who refer into our service. Our working partner in delivering the service is ‘The Breastfeeding Network’.

The contract includes weekend and evening work on rotation.

The service offers a mother-centred (3), non-biased and evidence-based approach to supporting infant feeding and aims to support mothers throughout their feeding journey.

This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who is passionate about infant feeding and supporting families.

The successful candidate(s) should have the skills and training needed to provide infant feeding support for parents in Tower Hamlets. They will need excellent communication skills and be able to work in partnership with a multi-disciplinary team.

(1, 2, 3...... We use the terms ‘women’ and ‘mother’ and ‘mother-centred’ throughout, but we offer support to any and all parents/carers feeding their babies).
