Catering Functions/ Hospitality Officer – Contract Catering Services

Contract Catering Services is the in-house school catering provider for LBTH operating in over 60 school sites. 

We are seeking a Catering Functions/Hospitality Officer who has extensive experience of working within the hospitality/functions industry in either the private or public catering sector. You will be at the heart of our catering operation, and we are looking for individuals who share our energy and passion and will contribute to our on-going hospitality/functions success. 

You will need to be able to demonstrate excellent organisational and communication skills and have a food craft qualification. You will also need to hold a Manual drivers’ licence which is essential to drive a van and deliver functions in the borough. You will work closely with Catering Operations Manager and a kitchen Assistant in the daily preparation, cooking and serving of all events ensuring that the service meets the high standards expected for our customers and clients.   

What will I be doing as a Catering Function Officer?

·      Responsible for all the hospitality/function catering bookings for Contract Catering Services based at Toby Lane Offices

·      Responsible for Toby Lane meeting room bookings let for training and other events. 

·      Engaging with customers and ensure bookings are accurate, costed correctly and all aspects of service delivery are recorded and communicated effectively.

·      Leading on the timely production, delivery and set up of hospitality services ensuring customer expectations are met.

·      Preparation and packing up of food and beverages, serving of food at events and functions and clearing down.

·      Marketing and building a strong relationship with Council clients and staff and work closely with them to ensure function/hospitality services are presented to the highest levels possible through efficient and effective delivery.

·      Providing a comprehensive range of high-quality support to Contract Catering Services administration team including providing cover at reception and the help desk, dealing with client enquiries, booking training rooms for catering staff and filing and data entry.
