We are looking to recruit a Social Worker/ AMHPs in the Bethnal Green and Globe Town Neighbourhood Mental Health Team. We are a multi-disciplinary team, whose focus is on the care of adults aged 18-65 in the northwest area of Tower Hamlets who have severe and enduring mental health problems. The team provides early assessment, comprehensive programmes of treatment and continuing care for clients. The objective is to assist people with their recovery, reduce relapse of illness and admission to hospital, and to enable people to remain at home, thus improving their quality of life.

We are particularly keen to receive applications from Approved Mental Health Professionals but will also consider applicants from experienced Social Workers who are willing to undertake training for this role.

The post attracts a Travel allowance. Therefore, You will be eligible for an annual Travel allowance covering zones 2-3.

Requirements

 A recognised social work qualification and registration with SW England is required.

You must be a committed and dedicated Social Worker with experience of working in a community mental health setting.

Excellent team player who can collaborate with health and social staff and other agencies.

You should have experience of working with the Care Programme Approach (as laid out in the NHS and Community Care Act of 1990), Mental Health Act (1983, updated 2007), Mental Capacity Act (2015) and the Care Act (2014).

You will have excellent needs and risk assessment skills. 

An enhanced DBS Certificate which is satisfactory to Tower Hamlets will be a condition of your appointment.
