This is an exciting time to join the Council as we bring the old Royal London Hospital in the heart of Whitechapel back to life as our new town hall. Our skilled and Lexcel accredited Legal Team has a crucial role providing the full range and variety of expert services across all areas of the Council’s work.

Key Responsibilities

•            You will be able to demonstrate experience of working on regeneration projects, commercial property and residential (right to buy) conveyancing transactions, acquisitions and disposals and other related property regeneration work. Section 42 lease extensions.

•            You will have excellent drafting skills and an eye for detail.

•            You will be able to conduct your caseload without supervision and will be accustomed to working at pace in a busy team. 

•            You will provide legal advice to a variety of audiences, including senior officers and supervise junior members of the team.

Requirements

You must be a Qualified Solicitor/Barrister or Fellow of CILEX and hold a practising certificate.


This position is a full time, permanent role. The role is a hybrid role based in our New Town Hall in Whitechapel with the ability to work flexibly.
